Community Support for Academic Success
Abstract
There are many barriers to students’ academic success. Each barrier is broken down and examined to compare said barriers effect on student academic achievements. Most of these barriers can be broken by seeking assistance from nonprofit agencies within the community. The nonprofit sector is the largest growing sector, there are various nonprofit agencies all over the world and locally. Often times parents don’t know these agencies exists. This research is to inform parents of the local nonprofit agencies, where they can seek needed assistance. The local agencies are listed with an explanation of services offered, how those services effect student success, and contact information.
