Abstract
This paper explores the ideas and theories behind leadership to help explain how leadership has been viewed historically by explaining what leadership is, how it is defined, and how different generations view and interact with leadership. It will ask and answer how leadership is affected by technology and how it will have to evolve faced with changing technology, the type of leadership necessary to accomplish this evolution.
Emergent Leadership, Path-Goal, Transformational Leadership and Team Leadership will be covered to explore why they are important, beneficial and adaptable to the Millennial generation as they take over the roles of leadership. It will explain how these types of leadership theories will help leadership evolve and communicate to transform the world.
