Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of female education on economic growth in developing countries and the importance of closing the gender gap by focusing on women and education. It examines how the promotion of gender equality in educational attainment has an effect on human capital and growth by comparing the impact of different policies regarding female schooling between countries of different levels of economic development. It investigates the economic and social returns of education on females are higher than the investment in education on males.
