Abstract/Description
I will be displaying a poster presenting my research on the Glorious Revolution in England of 1688. The poster will demonstrate research regarding philosophers and influential people of this era, as well as their lasting influence and contribution to the modern world. The Glorious Revolution was in many ways the event that kickstarted much of what makes the modern world what it is today. Political and social norms were turned upside down, and the ideas that founded modern democratic ideals were spawned or came to light as a result of this revolution. The United States is founded on the principals of thinkers such as John Locke, one of the most influential figures in the Glorious Revolution. This poster attempts to depict the influence these thinkers had over the revolution itself, and the lasting effect of their endeavors.
