Abstract/Description

An evidence-based practice study was conducted to determine the effects of music on postoperative pain. The results of five research studies were analyzed and indicated the benefits listening to music has on postoperative pain, anxiety, mood, and vital signs. This data was used for the construction of a new policy to be implemented in a local hospital facility.
