Abstract/Description
The purpose of this research is to identify the positive effects of music therapy with post-operative open-heart patients’ pain and identify if this intervention could be a key aspect of improving nursing care and patient outcomes within facilities. This study provides a literature review of current scholarly research articles that discuss these topics. Can we improve post-operative pain for open-heart patients in a more efficient manner? Are there certain limitations that need to be done while using music therapy? This study will provide suggested improvements that will reduce post-operative pain with open-heart patients, improve the physiologic effects of the patient, and overall improve nursing care and outcomes.
