Abstract/Description

The objective of this research is to evaluate eight different above ground sites in a permaculture ecosystem for selected soil characteristics. As this is the beginning of a multi-year longitudinal study, only preliminary baseline measurements were collected, including; soil water retention, soil organic matter content, soil compaction, and soil pH. Sampling, processing, and analysis was conducted in the late fall of 2016 and spring of 2017.
