Abstract
Young adults between the ages of 18 through 25 are navigating a crucial stage in their lives where they are discovering who they are, stepping out of their comfort zones, and building relationships. During this time, many reflect on how their upbringing and parental discipline have influenced their behaviors and relationships. Do these experiences shape their ability to handle conflict, set boundaries, or trust others? Are they more empathetic or self-disciplined because of the methods their parents used? The research conducted was an exploration of how factors such as gender, income, upbringing, and discipline methods impact the emotional and interpersonal development of young adults.
