Abstract/Description

Alarm fatigue develops when a person is subjected to an excessive amount of alarms. This can result in delayed or nonexistent response to alarms. A variety of studies have been conducted on methods to reduce the incidence of alarm fatigue. The majority of research believes the use of improved alarm management will best resolve the issue.
