Abstract/Description
Electronic media could be defined as a broadcast or storage media which makes use of electronic technology (businessdictionary.com). This could include forms of media such as radio, television, DVD, and the internet. Skillmaker.edu defines electronic media as the type of media that one can share on electronic devices for the main intentions of audience viewing. Skillmaker.edu goes further to point out that electronic media bears the advantage of being disseminated to a wider community unlike static media. Electronic media has always evolved all through the years. With the vast changes in technology, there is no doubt that electronic media would also be changing as a result. Following the changes experienced in electronic media, this also leads to improvement in political awareness among public individuals (Wihbey, 2015). This study aims to find out the impacts of electronic media transformation in enhancing political awareness in the Americas society. More specifically, the study would focus on the political changes that are experienced in the United States as a result of using electronic media. The main purpose of the study is to widen existing knowledge on electronic media transformation and as a result aid in better understanding how political awareness is shaped in the United States.
