Abstract/Description

The purpose of this evidence-based project is to identify the many benefits of using aromatherapy during labor and delivery. This study provides a literature review of current research articles that support the use of aromatherapy in reducing maternal pain and anxiety. This research will provide recommendations for aromatherapy scents, and various methods of using these aromatherapies in practice. It has been researched and shown that aromatherapies are a non-invasive way to provide optimal care to patients throughout the process of labor and delivery.
