Abstract/Description

Network science is an area of applied graph theory in which relationships of different entities can be described by a graph with vertices and edges. Networks can be applied across different areas such as computer science, marketing, economics, political science, and fictional arts. In this paper, we will use network analysis to model the relationships of the characters in the third season of Stranger Things and how they contribute to the evolution of the plot line by analyzing character interactions in each scene. We will consider degree, weighted degree, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, PageRank, and eigenvector centrality and use these measures to draw conclusions about the major characters in Stranger Things 3.
