Abstract/Description

The growth of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch has been an issue for years. It’s a growing problem that effects the Pacific Ocean, wildlife, and humans. An inferential statistical analysis, specifically the F-test, is used as the research design for this project. Flyers, social media, and a survey are being proposed in a campaign to increase awareness of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. A survey is being proposed as the instrument measuring the awareness. The survey measures the degree to which Murray State University’s graduate students know about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, as well as if their age and location affect this.
