Abstract/Description
Effective transfer of information during the nursing hand-off report contributes to patient safety. Adequate communication between the departing nurse and oncoming nurse is crucial to ensuring the oncoming nurse has all the information needed to properly care for the patient. Traditional bedside shift report involves giving report at the nurses station, however bedside shift report has shown to improve patient safety and outcomes.
