Abstract/Description
Pressure injuries are a major healthcare problem. Approximately three million adults are affected by pressure injuries. The elderly population is expected to double by 2050 (for the first time in history). Elderly patients are at a higher risk for obtaining pressure injuries, therefore, implementing preventative measures is crucial. The goal is to promote policy development that utilizes the most current research to prevent and treat pressure injuries during hospitalization.
