Abstract/Description

This paper reviews the process of creating and adapting prosthetic limbs for patients with an above the knee prosthetics. I researched various articles and reports explaining the dynamic motion of the prosthesis and how that motion can be modelled mathematically. This research will help identify the essential parts of the prosthetic to optimize its performance and keep the cost relatively low. In my research I will identify the critical aspects of the dynamic motion and what can be done to imitate normal walking gait for prosthesis patients.
