Abstract/Description

The purpose of this study was to examine the protective effects physical activity has on breast cancer survivors. Research has proven that survivors who participate in regular physical activity had lower rates of mortality and recurrent breast cancer events. This project discusses the findings of three evidence-based research studies that support a proposal for physical activity regimens to be implemented into breast cancer patients plan of care. The research recommends that this patient population should participate in 150 minutes of physical activity a week in order to live a longer, healthier, cancer free life.
