Abstract/Description
The use of spray drone systems in agricultural research has proven to be an effective method and tool of liquid application in agricultural settings. Use of a DJI MG1-P system on multiple of Murray State University Farms and research plots was implemented to collect remotely sensed data on late season fungicide application of corn. This DRONE piloted by Blake Kennedy applied Delaro Complete, a corn fungicide, to multiple controlled sections of corn to test yield response of corn with and without the late season application of this chemical. The data collected showed a noticeable increase in the yield of multiple varieties of corn in different locations. Applications also varied multiple spray rates and application styles to preform consistent and varied tests.
