This presentation covers the topic of patient-initiated violence towards nurses in the healthcare setting. It explores current prevention strategies against violence and investigates their effectiveness in creating a safe work environment. The purpose of this presentation is to recognize the shortcomings of present policies and use research to suggest evidence-based interventions that could be implemented to have a positive impact on nurses, patients, and healthcare facilities as a whole.
