Abstract/Description
This is an informative presentation using evidence-based practice discussing the impact of delayed cord clamping after childbirth. This is a tool to educate healthcare providers on the benefits of delaying cord clamping on infants after they are born. Based on research findings, it is recommended to wait 120 seconds after childbirth to clamp the cord, in order to return blood back to the infant, improve blood volume, and reduce the risk of anemia. This presentation was made through the use of quantitative research articles, qualitative research articles, and theoretical framework.
