Abstract
This paper is an examination of different styles of management with regard to how conflict is handled. It also gives a brief description of the different types of personalities that exist, and how managers must become aware of each subordinates' personality if the manager wishes to have an effective and efficient workforce. A consideration of whether to employ positive or negative reinforcement is also examined. Another issue discussed is rapport and how it is established and maintained in the workplace.
