Abstract
The telecommunications forms a crucial component of economic development in most countries. The current level of technology has significantly improved the ability to communicate effectively even with long distances. The purpose of this research is to explore the progress of certain technologies, such as the Linux Operating system. The study seeks to inform those of the evolution of technologies that pave the way for modern ICT. The goal is to use information and research to form a basis on where certain technologies came from. The study has excluded research from any non-scholar information to avoid any false and opinionated information.
