Abstract

An integrated setting is a setting that provides students with special education needs to interact with students who do not have special education needs as much as possible. An integrated setting is also known as an inclusive environment. This paper has information over the many studies that have taken place over the years. At the beginning giving a brief history of inclusive education and the policies put in place to encourage an integrated setting. This paper there will be information on inclusive education in preschool classrooms through university courses. And also over inclusive educations effect on teachers, instructional assistants, students with disabilities, and students without disabilities. Inclusive education crosses with co-teaching as it allows both special education teacher and general education teacher to collaborate. Overall there has been mostly positive or neutral effects for all of those effected by inclusive education.
