Education Fields and The Importance to People with Disabilities
Abstract
Understanding the history of people with disabilities, Special Education, Early Intervention (EI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is important to know. Learning about these individuals and the fields as well as the challenges can help one to understand the importance and benefits that these fields have on individuals who have disabilities. It is not just about a field, but the people who came together to make a change in the lives of those who were thought to be unteachable, or were not given rights similar to their peers who did not have disabilities. The resources and tables gathered come from multiple sources, including education books, articles from people who had first hand experience with a field, journals, official websites and websites pertaining to the subjects. These educational fields have made an impact on the quality of life for individuals with education and have given them rights, not just to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), but as a whole.
