Abstract
College athletic coaches impact students and athletes in more than one way. They develop the kids as not only a player, but are a connection for future careers and help prepare them for the next stages of their life. There are plenty of different variables for a coach to impact their player whether it is within the sport, or with relationships outside of the sport. Even with the different coaching styles between male and female, the impact can still be there if the coach has the makeup of a good leader. On the other side, a coach can also have a negative impact on the player both on and off the playing surface and outside of the playing surface. Aside from the player as an individual it is hard to form chemistry and a team bond with teammates during a long season if these coaching styles don’t somehow link these players together as a unit. This will help form relationships both in the game and away from the game, as well.
