THE ROLE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN ORGANIZATIONAL INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE SUCCESS

Abstract

Lastly, the study suggests that transformational leadership might be highly relevant in decreasing burnout levels among workers, developing motivation, and encouraging innovation in human service non-profits. The pressures that come with such organizations like too much emotional demands, shortages of resources and overworking requires such a leadership that is not only helpful to the employees, but also empowering them to be effective in their work. Through the inspirational, supportive and developmental leadership, transformational leaders can avail their staffs the conditions that can make them motivated, committed and capable of dealing with the stresses that are inherent in their work. Another way the emotional intelligence in leadership is considered is in enhancing the ability to prevent burnout by detecting and addressing emotional and work-related problems. This leads to the conclusion that, in order to make their services sustainable in the long-term, human service non-profits must invest in leadership development initiatives and establish favorable organizational cultures and workload management. These strategies allow such organizations to improve the welfare of the employees, lower the turnover rates and promote the quality of the delivered services to remain in the demand of the communities, which they serve. Despite the insightful nature of the research, it is necessary to carry out studies in future to see the dynamics that prevail in different settings by examining other leadership styles and the circumstances within the organization.
