Abstract

Marjorie recalled when the city first paved the roads and how community members helped pay for the road construction. She discusses life in Murray and the many changes that took place over time. She mentions segregated schools and how many black students in the Murray attended Kentucky State University. She concludes by discussing the effects of Great Depression on the community and her father's business.
