Murray State University Mock Trial Tournament
Project Abstract
The Murray State Mock Trial Team will be competing in the 27th Annual Mid-South Mock Trial Invitational Tournament held at the Middle Tennessee State University campus. The Murray State Mock Trial Team will have the opportunity to compete against fifty other universities including Middle Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, University of Florida, University of Tennessee, and many more. The Murray State Mock Trial Team analyzes a realistic criminal or civil case and then presents that case at tournaments as either prosecution/plaintiff or defense. The presentation of the case will include students acting as attorneys and witnesses. The attorneys will present evidence to further their case and at the end the judges will determine which team presented the case better. At the end of the two-day long tournament the team will attend the award presentation where different teams will receive best attorney awards, best witness awards, and overall best team awards.
