Gaining Agency through Emotional Reflexivity in K–12 EL Teaching
Project Abstract
This session shares a veteran EL teacher’s self-study of emotional struggles. Through reflection and dialogic inquiry with a mentor, I shifted from internalizing institutional norms to critically examining emotions in context. This presentation provides implications for developing emotional reflexivity in language teacher education and supporting EL teachers’ well-being and agency.
