Abstract/Description

The purpose of this presentation is to show how standardizing bed side reporting would benefit patient's in terms of safety as well as satisfaction. Without standardization, report hand off by nurses can be different from nurse to nurse, and important information can by lost in translation putting the patient at risk. After researching several evidence based articles in many nursing journals, evidence shows that by standardizing a report it promotes patient safety and leads to nurse compliance. Conclusion of the study shows that evidence best says to promote safety for patients and increase compliance of nurses, standardizing a bedside report for nurses will better patient care.
