Abstract/Description

The summarization on the article assignment completed was on the topic of ethical dilemma of legalizing Physician Assisted suicide for terminally ill patients. The patient in the article elected to remain nameless however she was terminally ill from breast cancer in the state of California first during the short time frame of their right to die law. The law was then revoked and her right to die was taken away violating her autonomy and ultimately her peace. Originally past in 1997, modeled after the Right to die laws in Oregon the law was only in place for a short time when the law was over turned by a judge in Riverside County on a technicality. This meant that people could not end their life in a quick and easy fashion and instead they are forced to end their life in a slow and more painful manner.
