Abstract/Description

The purpose of this thesis is to be able to describe and analyze the relationship between the lack of resources in nonprofit organizations and burnout. In this analysis of research, the aim is to explore only the financial and marketing resources (as it relates to not-for-profit entities) as it relates to organizational capacity. These specific areas will be reviewed and discussed in order to know how closely related those areas are to resource connections. From those impacts reviewed, the implications of employee and volunteer burnout in this sector will be analyzed. For this literature review, the research is focused on the impact of nonprofits in rural areas as of higher importance as those within rural areas most plausible to encounter a deficit in connections to resources. This analysis aims to understand the areas of impacts and in order to help better explain and understand the relationship between nonprofit organizations that experience burnout from paid employees and volunteers.
