Abstract/Description

My Honors Thesis of short fiction focuses on the conventions of monstrosity in media and how they transfer into my own work. My presentation will focus on how research on monsters like vampires, zombies, and ghosts in the media influenced the short stories I went on to write about them. It will focus on the writing process, the transfer of my ideas from research to the page, and how each story is meant to twist the message that it's monster usually aims to make.
