Abstract/Description
Greek organizations on college campuses do many things helpful to the community. However, it seems the mass media share only stories about harmful things about Greek students. We will send a survey through Survey Monkey to both college and high school aged students who are not in Greek organizations in order to collect data, and hope to get at least 100 responses. Sending out an anonymous survey will allow participants to hide their identity and opinions, while keeping us unbiased through the questions. Through this research, we hope to find whether the mass media influences public opinion of Greek life in order to inform Greek organizations of their stereotype. This will help organizations learn from their stereotypes and change for the future.
