Abstract/Description

This study discusses research that supports the use of opioid-sparing multimodal analgesia and the option of intravenous acetaminophen. It will introduce the need for using opioid-sparing analgesia and intravenous acetaminophen as well as the opposition for its use. Evidence from many research articles will be introduced and examined. Implementation of a new policy will also be discussed and conclusions will be drawn.
