Analysis of a Well-known Archaeological Site, Cahokia Mounds, Illinois, Using Remotely Sensed Imagery

The purpose of this project is to compare various remotely sensed images to examine a well-known archaeological site, the Cahokia Mounds historic site in Illinois, which was chosen because there are various types of images. Remote sensing can be very useful in locating archaeological sites. This project is simply meant to illustrate some of these uses. By using a known site similar sites can be found or characterized using remote sensing.
