Abstract/Description
Over the last 20 years the state of California has been affected by the changing climate. With the climate constantly changing it causes rise in concern to the agricultural sector and how one of the top producing agricultural products is affected. Using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) this study will analyze data collected from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration database to measure the total amount monthly of precipitation for the years 2000 and 2020. With the results this study will show how the amount of precipitation has changed from 2000 to 2020. Using remote sensing this study will study how vineyard vegetation has changed from 2000 to 2020. Combining both results this study will be able to analyze a relationship between the changes in precipitation and vegetation health.
