Abstract/Description
Dementia is a broad term used to describe deterioration of cognitive functioning and global impairment of cognitive functioning. Dementia does not refer to specific a disease, but rather to a collection of symptoms or disease process. Music therapy has been proven to improve mood and behavior, positively redirect, and relive situational stress for the individual with the disease process and the individual(s) providing care.
