Abstract/Description

The current landscape of social platforms does not incentivize critical thought or civil discourse but rather prioritizes excessive and unhealthy levels of user engagement. I propose to create a platform that promotes informative, medium-length, user-generated content. Given the desire to guarantee high-quality content, the platform I have designed will utilize a peer-review process to address scalability concerns and potential abuse by malicious actors. I plan to highlight the design choices of this system and how they have influenced the graphic design of the platform.
