Abstract/Description
This study looks at the efficacy of Lantanna flower extract as an antibiotic/antimicrobial against a pseudomonas strain that affects Tomato and Tobacco plants. This study is a continuation of my research series looking at physical applications of plant-based medicine. Previous studies have been conducted looking at the efficacy of Marigold extract as an anti-microbial against four common pathogens in people and animals such as E. coli, MRSA, and Pseudomoas Aeruginosa. That study showed that marigold extract was effective against each bacterium but most effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which inspired this study. The data from the previous study was written up into a research poster and presented at the Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The data presented in this poster will be over the Lantanna study and will be final and complete. This study is also being written into my thesis.
