Abstract
This research paper is going to be discussing women in top management positions within the healthcare system and why there aren’t as many women as men in such jobs. Statistics will be shown of women vs. men in CEO positions and whether it is that women just aren’t applying for these jobs or if men are getting chosen over them and what reasons could be causing that.
Women occupy several positions within the healthcare system, but when it comes to top level positions, such as CEO, men outnumber women and have for several years. Women often times are left with responsibilities of the family, while men can focus more on their career.
