THE STRUGGLES OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS IN A GENERAL CLASSROOM SETTING
Abstract
Many special education students struggle in the general education classroom due to deficits such as emotionally, mentally, physical obstacles, and developmental delays. The academic barriers and solutions in this study can help students with special needs grow academically and develop relationships with their peers. Students with special needs are expected to perform and master academics the same as their peers when placed in a general classroom. Having students receive core instruction with a special education teacher in a special education classroom is just one solution.
