Abstract
Vilayanur S. Ramachandra introduced mirror treatment in 1992. Using a mirror, the individual can witness the excised body part moving as though it were still a part of their body as part of this therapy. Mirror therapy was introduced as a way to treat and reduce phantom limb pain. Throughout this research mirror therapy and its methods will be explained. This research will also dive deep and explore different ways mirror therapy can be used. It will also briefly talk about different alternatives to treating phantom limb pain.
