Abstract

This present study outlined the various methods and benefits of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and the impact of its application for individuals diagnosed with autism. When administering this type of therapy the therapist uses techniques such as positive reinforcement, discrete trial teaching, chaining, phasing, and errorless learning to teach an individual new skills or to shape maladaptive behaviors into more healthy ones.
