Necessity of a Paraprofessional: The Core of the Classroom Instruction Model

Paraprofessionals play a crucial role in supporting the educational process, particularly in inclusive classrooms. Also known as paraeducators or teaching assistants, are essential members of educational teams, working alongside teachers to support student learning and development. Their roles have evolved over time, reflecting changes in educational policies, classroom practices, and the diverse needs of students.This comprehensive review explores the various facets of paraprofessionals in education, including their roles, impact on student outcomes, training needs, challenges, and recommendations for effective utilization. Drawing on empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and expert opinions, this paper aims to provide a deep understanding of the significance of paraprofessionals in modern educational settings. This review examines the multifaceted role of paraprofessionals in education, highlighting their contributions, challenges, and potential for enhancing educational outcomes.
