EFFECTS OF ACCOUNTABLE CARE ORGANIZATIONS ON PHYSICIANS
Abstract
Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) play an important role in the development of improving patient care. As healthcare reform is constantly changing and new innovations are being discovered, it is crucial providers are aware of the opportunities and risks within an ACO and how they can improve the overall health of patients while reducing healthcare costs. Providers are constantly faced with many risks that can affect the way in which they operate and keep their business afloat. It is important providers are aware of the different requirements they must meet in order to be part of a successful ACO and participate in shared savings.
