The Evolution of Technology in the Classroom: The Positive and Negative Effects of Having Technology in the Classroom

Abstract

Technology is being incorporated into many different parts of society, just like it has been for the past century and a half. Technology has helped revolutionize different eras throughout the past two centuries and this era we’re in now is no different. Technology has also helped changed many different careers throughout the past century and education is no different. Technology is being incorporated into the classroom as it has been throughout the past century with each invention that comes out. As technology has changed, so has the technology been used in the classroom. As like any thing else, technology comes with positives and negatives to using it in the classroom. It’s up to educators to determine whether the positives outweigh the negatives or the negatives outweighs the positives to using technology in the classroom.
