Aims & Scope
Contemporary Rural Social Work is an online journal devoted to the development of knowledge about rural social work and to the promotion of excellence in rural practice. The journal provides a forum for the intellectual exchange of ideas that advance these purposes. Journal Sections include Feature Articles, Social Work Practice Notes, Social Work Teaching Notes, Book Reviews, and Poetry. The journal will also consider publishing website reviews and literary- or media-based reflections on rural culture. The journal encourages submissions of scholarly articles that address current issues related to practice, cultural responsiveness, education, policy, human behavior, diversity, social and economic justice, research, and innovations in the field of rural social work. Articles may be conceptual, empirical, or theoretical and should make substantive contributions to the field.
