From Clare: "One of my professors came to me and asked if I would like to attend a conference, which is a once in a life time opportunity. She asked if I wanted to attend an international teachers conference and of course I said yes. This conference was for high school special education teachers and that there would be many different seminars that would help current and future educators. My professor said that two of my fellow classmates, her and I would be presenting in a student panel. We are presenting our research on best practices for helping students with disabilities and make for a successful transition from high school to college. We will be presenting our stories and telling teachers even if you have a disability you can still go to college. We don’t let our disability define what we can and can’t do. We want to be future educators and help children succeed in learning and their education, like our teachers did for us. We can do anything."
