Abstract
In the world we live in, our decisions are influenced by factors and information even when we consciously dismiss the information as fake and believe ourselves to be objective. These life-influencing factors include how one was raised, what one learned throughout one’s lifetime among many others. When one makes a decision, there is always a reasoning behind it, even though some may consider such reasoning fleeting or subjective. In this research, we aim to examine the degree to which religion and politics are major influences. Also, included in this research is observing the degree to which gender plays a role in one’s political opinions on abortion and the legalization of marijuana.
